Terms of Service

1. Service description

Faro Index is an AI brand intelligence platform that monitors how artificial intelligence platforms represent your brand. The Service includes AI visibility scanning, accuracy verification, content leakage analysis, and related reporting features.

2. Accounts

You may need to create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Paid features are billed monthly via Stripe. Prices are listed on our Pricing page. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial months. Free scans are available without an account and without payment.

4. Acceptable use

You may use the Service to monitor your own brand, track competitors for legitimate business intelligence, and benchmark against industry peers. Scan results reflect AI-generated responses from public AI platforms and do not constitute verified factual claims about any company.

You agree not to:

• Publicly distribute scan results about a third party without disclosing that the data reflects AI-generated responses, not independently verified facts
• Use scan results to make defamatory, harassing, or misleading claims about any company or individual
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute scan data or reports as a standalone product or competitive intelligence service without our written consent
• Use the Service to generate schema code, recommendations, or implementation guidance intended to benefit a company you are competing against, rather than your own organisation
• Automate scans at a volume that exceeds your plan limits or interferes with the Service
• Attempt to reverse-engineer the scoring methodology or circumvent access controls

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms or that show patterns of use inconsistent with legitimate brand monitoring.

5. Data and privacy

The Service queries third-party AI platforms (OpenAI, Perplexity, Google, Anthropic) on your behalf. Scan results are stored in our database and associated with your account. We do not sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for details.

6. Third-party AI platforms

Faro Index queries third-party AI platforms to generate scan results. We do not control the content these platforms produce. AI responses may contain inaccuracies. Results reflect what AI says at the time of scanning and may change over time.

7. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that AI platforms will change their representations of your brand as a result of using the Service.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Faro Index and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
